Unmanned Aircraft Systems OperatorRMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator in Stennis, Mississippi. This position is contingent upon contract award.Roles and ResponsibilitiesOperate Group 3 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in support of training missionsDeliver classroom and hands-on instruction on UAS operations on the following topics:Airspace requirements, deconfliction, and general rules of the roadGround operations and flight safetyPre-flight/post flight inspections and repair processMission planning to integrate UAS platforms Fly profiles in accordance with the Unmanned Aircraft System Operator's Permit (UASOP) course of instructionEnsure all UAS/remote pilot operations comply with UASOP flight profiles and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Department of War (DOW) regulations and guidanceTrain international military and law enforcement personnel with varying levels of technical experienceAssist in curriculum development and updates to training materialsSupport field training exercises and provide technical mentorshipCollaborate with staff to ensure mission success and instructional qualityRequired Qualifications and ExperienceActive Secret security clearanceAt least two years' experience flying UAS platforms in tactical or instructional settings (i.e., MQ-9 Reaper, RQ-7 Shadow, large fixed-wing UAS, and large rotary wing UAS)Experience instructing diverse groups, especially in international or cross-cultural environmentsFAA Part 107 or U.S. Air Force Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) certificationFamiliarity with DOW policies related to UAS operationsExperience with technical writing and curriculum developmentNEC 805A (Instructor)Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in team environmentsWillingness to travel and work in dynamic field conditionsBachelor of science degree or a high school diploma and at least four years of directly related military training and experience in robotics/UAS operationsPreferred QualificationsRPA Senior Pilot certificationManufacturer-specific UAS training or certificationsAdvanced UAS ratings, such as Instructor (I) and/or Evaluator (E)Instructional design or teaching credentialsActive TS/SCI security clearanceMaster Training Specialist certificationCompany OverviewRMGS, Inc. is a growing small business headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
