About the Role Technical Trainer delivers training in his/her assigned region, works with the curriculum development team to improve and refine training program content, and supports other divisional objectives as management assigns. Possess hardware technical expertise and provide training classes supporting internal and external customers. Responsibilities Training Program Instruction: Proficient in specialty areas covering all management expected levels of training programs, and possess a strong working knowledge and ability to deliver training programs in secondary areas of specialization. Training Program Effectiveness (Delivery): Work with the Sr. Systems & Technical Trainer during the evolution process to ensure consistent delivery that meets departmental standards; provide coaching and constructive feedback to students. Training/Seminar Content Creation: Produce and deliver training seminars for internal and external customers through local classes, national training events, and dealer onsite training. Dealer Communication: Conduct dealer visits, discuss training needs, acquire feedback, research competitor programs, and coordinate information with other trainers to implement key initiatives. Dealer Visits: Visit key dealers with or without the Education Support Services Specialist to evaluate training needs and promote Canon training initiatives such as ATSP. Communications: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills; meet with engineering and curriculum developers to ensure accuracy of training delivery programs. Training Technology: Be proficient in all learning and training technology and systems to provide quality training and support other trainers in understanding and using the technology. Initiatives: Participate in the assignment of special projects or training events (e.g., ATP Conference); maintain high in‑class standards for delivery and scheduling of products; meet quality and quantity measurements set by training management. Support equipment: Maintain training facilities and equipment in good working order, keep inventory current, and meet all goals and objectives. ATP Program: Understand the Regional ATP program and help implement the regional ATP evaluation plan, including maintaining accurate records and performing all administrative duties. Field Support: Provide product support in the field and by phone. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education or equivalent experience. Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) Certification or equivalent, or achievement of such certification within the first six months of employment. Knowledge of the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI) competencies. Network+ Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Certified Network Administrator (CNA), or equivalent. New to Canon but with at least one year of experience in electronic and/or electromechanical repair, one year of technical training, or military services in a related area. Supervisory leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers and management at all levels. Computer and connectivity knowledge and skills, including network theory and the ability to configure Canon devices in all network environments. Salary We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $70,310 - $81,550 annually. Workstyle Description Full‑time, on‑site. This position requires full‑time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory on your scheduled work days.
