1st Shift Production Supervisor

Duties/Responsibilities Provide support for all team members of the assigned area Help ensure smooth operation by problem solving for any issues that arise throughout the day Organize and prepare all production paperwork prior to the start of the production day Partner with team leaders and team members to ensure all duties within the production line are properly covered and staffed. If any team members are out for the day, ensure proper coverage has been assigned to continue smooth production Maintain a watchful eye for any safety hazards and partner with the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for all reported safety hazards within the facility Provide routine updates on vital information to the Production Manager and General Manager Complete routine clean sweeps of the assigned production area to ensure a safe and clean environment for all Team Members Carry out end of shift / day clean up procedures - such as cleaning and servicing of workstations and equipment Complete daily end-of-day procedures to ensure all team members have been accounted for, plant close up sheet has been processed, and all safety hazards have been addressed Additional specific duties as applicable for assigned departments Qualifications 2 years' management experience in a manufacturing environment or related field 2-year degree in Business or related field preferred Strong understanding of manufacturing and maintenance processes Strong communication, analytical, and reasoning skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities Able to function in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling. Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others. Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
