Job Summary: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER) Rockville, Connecticut. The healthcare provider will staff the Emergency Department, caring for a wide range of adult and pediatric emergency presentations, including medical, behavioral health, and critical care needs. Candidates must bring their license on the first day and be able to function independently after a brief orientation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM7:30 AM), every other weekend and holiday; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Connecticut RN license (or compact); Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA)); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)/National Certification Corporation (NCI) (or equivalent de-escalation training); previous Emergency Department (ED) experience using Epic; previous travel experience
• Responsibilities: Manage a broad range of emergency presentations and support emergency stabilization; demonstrate competency with IV insertion and cardiac monitoring; support procedural sedation as needed; provide stroke and sepsis care; support emergency stabilization workflows
• Additional Information: Experience with Alaris pumps and standard Emergency Department (ED) equipment is preferred
