PTS Advance is partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm to identify a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience designing mechanical systems for healthcare and hospital facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the design of critical healthcare environments, including hospitals, medical office buildings, surgical centers, and healthcare campuses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for healthcare and hospital projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards.
- Support projects through all phases, from concept design through construction administration.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior engineers and designers.
- Participate in client meetings and help maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- E.I.T. certification required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or willingness to obtain PE licensure in the near future
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Healthcare, hospital, or medical facility project experience required
- Strong HVAC design experience
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related engineering software
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
