Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate (1st Shift) ($20.00/hr.)

Job Description

As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all components are properly packaged and shipped to meet customer requirements. Your duties will include filling out paperwork accurately, loading less-than-truckload freight, packing parts for overnight shipping requests via carriers like FedEx and UPS, and loading full truckload shipments with careful pallet and strap placement. You will operate forklifts, reach lifts, and overhead cranes, manage rigging of oven product lines, and load products onto trucks. Additionally, you may use a company vehicle for miscellaneous tasks. Responsibilities

• Ensure all components are accounted for and properly packaged and shipped to meet customer requirements.
• Fill out all paperwork accurately.
• Load less-than-truckload freight.
• Pack various size parts for overnight shipping requests via FedEx, UPS, etc.
• Load full truckload shipments with pallet and strap placement.
• Operate forklifts, reach lifts, and overhead cranes.
• Properly rig oven product lines and load them onto trucks.
• Use company vehicle for miscellaneous tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in warehouse distribution and inventory management.
• Proficiency in warehouse shipping and receiving processes.
• Capability in shipping/data entry and warehouse system operations.
• Skills in picking, packing, and material handling.
• Experience with forklift and tow motor operations.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean and well-lit, requiring regular standing, walking, and the use of hands. Employees will frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The environment supports safe practices with a focus on regulations and procedures. Employees may occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sandusky, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
