Driver Manager

CTS- Green Bay 1634 Cofrin Drive Green Bay, WI 54302, USA The Driver Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of assigned drivers to maximize productivity, ensure on‑time service, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This role serves as the primary point of contact for drivers, supporting their success while delivering excellent service to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinate load assignments with planners and dispatch drivers on pre‑planned loads Monitor, track, and communicate with drivers throughout the day via phone, GPS systems and other tools. Ensure on‑time delivery (OTD) performance and proactively address service disruptions Manage driver check calls, ETAs, PTAs, and RTAs350 solo miles per day or 600 team miles per day per truck Track and locate missing paperwork and ensure all documentation is completed accurately Communicate schedules, expectations, and updates clearly to drivers Serve as the primary liaison between drivers and internal departments (customer service, safety, maintenance, etc.) Address driver concerns, payroll inquiries, and operational issues in a timely manner Promote a positive, productive relationship with drivers to support retention and engagement Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with DOT and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations Monitor driver hours to prevent violations and ensure safe operations Coordinate with safety and maintenance teams regarding equipment issues, delays, or breakdowns Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all assigned equipment Facilitate truck swaps as needed. Audit, review, and approve driver timecards and payroll data Maintain payroll records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to driver pay inquiries Manage vacation requests, bonus calculations, and payroll compliance Accurately document service issues and operational updates in systems (e.g., TMW) Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
