We are looking for a Tax Preparer to support service members and their families through high-quality individual tax guidance in Alexandria, Virginia. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a finance specialist who can explain tax matters clearly, manage a high volume of client interactions, and deliver accurate results in a fully remote setting. The role focuses on individual tax return preparation, client education, and responsive service during a fast-moving tax season that may require overtime.Responsibilities:• Prepare and review individual tax returns with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.• Provide tax-related guidance to service members and their families, helping them understand filing requirements and available options.• Communicate complex tax topics in a straightforward manner so clients can make informed financial decisions.• Manage multiple client cases at once while maintaining detailed documentation and organized records.• Use Lacerte Tax Software and related digital tools to complete tax preparation work efficiently in a remote environment.• Research tax questions and resolve filing issues by applying current rules, procedures, and best practices.• Support clients throughout the tax season with responsive service, including availability for overtime when business demand increases.• Collaborate with team members to maintain service quality, share insights, and contribute to a positive client experience.
