Licensed Nursing Home Administrator

A state-operated long-term care hospital in Maryland is seeking a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to lead daily operations, champion regulatory readiness, and drive quality outcomes for an average daily census of ~50 residents. You’ll guide a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on person-centered care while ensuring compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission, and state regulations.

Provide administrative leadership and oversight for a state-operated long-term care hospital

Guide staff on compliance with CMS, state regulations, and accreditation standards

Ensure implementation and enforcement of patient rights regulations

Review and approve facility plans, policies, and procedures for quality and compliance

Oversee administrative functions, quality assurance, and operational performance

Participate in committee and staff meetings to provide direction on compliance issues

Maintain accountability for regulatory and accreditation readiness

Support patient-centered care through effective leadership and communication

Monitor and evaluate ongoing performance and operational processes.

Current Maryland Nursing Home Administrator license

At least 3 years of administrator experience in a 35+ bed facility

Familiarity with CMS, COMAR, and Joint Commission standards

References from prior administrator roles

Background check, medical exam, and health clearance required before start

Proof of immunizations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Hepatitis B; COVID encouraged)

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Commitment to quality and regulatory compliance

Schedule: 40 hours per week, with services provided between 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday

Occasional rotating weekend hours as assigned

Contract term with possibility of extension or permanent hire upon completion
