Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Full-Time | The Radcliff | Wood Dale, Illinois

We’re looking for a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at The Radcliff in Wood Dale, Illinois .

As a Prava COTA, you'll work alongside the Occupational Therapist to help residents participate in the activities that make their lives meaningful.

You'll:

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Work with residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care

• Help residents improve their ability to participate in meaningful daily activities

• Address functional performance related to ADLs, IADLs, cognition, safety, coordination, strength, endurance, and mobility

• Help residents develop strategies to remain as independent as possible

• Adapt tasks and environments to support successful participation

• Provide caregiver and resident education

• Reinforce individualized treatment plans and home programs

• Observe and communicate changes in resident function and clinical status

• Collaborate with nursing, caregivers, families, activities, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Support fall prevention, safety, and functional wellness initiatives

• Document efficiently using Prava's technology platform and AI-enabled tools

• Help create a therapy experience that feels connected to the resident's actual life

At Prava, we don't want occupational therapy to become a collection of exercises disconnected from the resident's life.

Go to the dining room independently?

Get dressed without assistance?

Make a cup of coffee?

Participate in art class?

Garden in the greenhouse?

Navigate the community safely?

Return to an activity they stopped doing?

And they're often the reason therapy matters.

You are:

• A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in Illinois

• Passionate about working with older adults

• Creative and adaptable

• Comfortable working with varying cognitive and physical abilities

• A strong communicator

• A natural relationship builder

• Comfortable collaborating across disciplines

• Someone who sees the whole person—not simply the diagnosis

• Someone who understands the importance of dignity, autonomy, and choice

• Someone who believes the environment can often be part of the intervention

• Someone who wants to keep learning and growing clinically

Senior living experience is preferred, but not required .
