About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Operations and Strategy to serve as its Chief Operations Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotionally intelligent, inclusive, and strengths-based leadership to advance the alignment of the company's strategy, operations, and institutional effectiveness efforts. This role involves partnering with the President and Cabinet to translate the company's mission and strategic framework into coordinated, cross-functional action that meets the needs of students and the community. The Vice President will also oversee key functions such as campus safety, facilities, institutional research and compliance, and information technology, ensuring they operate as an integrated system in support of institutional priorities. Applicants for the Vice President position must have a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, with a preference for a doctoral degree. A proven track record of effective leadership in complex, multi-functional organizations, particularly in a mission-driven or higher education setting, is essential. The role requires experience in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, and data-informed decision-making, as well as a commitment to the values of community colleges. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a collaborative leadership style, and experience in contract negotiation, labor relations, or complex stakeholder environments. The Vice President will be expected to recruit, develop, and retain a highly qualified, inclusive team, and to foster a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
