Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.

We are looking for a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) with travel experience to join our team. This role entails providing care to a diverse patient population with a focus on medical surgical needs, including pediatrics, although rare.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various diagnoses including CHF, COPD, non-STEMI, DKA, and more.
• Manage a patient load of up to 7:1, with occasional increases.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize the EMR system, Sorian, efficiently for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical unit.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS are preferred.
• Active RN license in the applicable state.
