Multiple contract positions are available for qualified nurses, inviting Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to make a difference in school settings. Depending on your experience and credentials, you may be assigned to oversee a health room, provide 1:1 care for students with medical needs, or serve independently as the on-site clinician within a school clinic.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida LPN license or RN ASN required
• Full-time availability throughout the academic year
• Experience in pediatric, school, or related nursing settings preferred, though recent graduates or those new to school nursing are encouraged to apply
• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinic teams
• Clear and compassionate communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer medications per physician orders and school policies
• Provide swift assessment and emergency response for student injuries or sudden illness
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date health records, including immunizations compliance
• Deliver first aid and routine care as needed
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions, including performing diabetic checks and interventions
• Facilitate open communication with parents and educators regarding student health
• Collaborate closely with the district RN supervisor and healthcare colleagues
• Operate autonomously in running a school clinic environment, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all students
