Step into a Day on the Production Floor

Your shift begins at our Rome, GA plant where you power up control panels, review the batch log, and confirm that safety systems are green. You move through pre-start checks, inspect pumps and valves, and verify that raw materials are staged to spec. Once the line is ready, you bring the process online—adjusting feeds of liquids and gases in the prescribed sequence, opening valves, and operating pumps to admit or drain specified materials. Throughout the run, you monitor gauges and screens, capture quality data, and document results so every batch meets our standards.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and continuously monitor chemical production equipment for safe, reliable performance.
• Follow SOPs, lockout/tagout, and other safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct routine equipment walkdowns and inspections; escalate and help resolve any issues you spot.
• Keep precise records—batch logs, production data, and quality control reports—without exception.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to improve throughput, yield, and overall efficiency.
• Adjust feed and flow rates for liquids and gases in the defined sequence; open valves and run pumps to charge or drain materials as required.
• Support preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals in line with environmental regulations and company policy.
• Package finished product into a range of containers per detailed customer specifications.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED; technical coursework or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar industrial setting preferred.
• Solid grasp of safety practices in a chemical plant environment.
• Hands-on ability to run and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and clear communication skills.
• Team-oriented approach and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexible schedule, including readiness for overtime and some weekends.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic math.
• Forklift certification and safe operation skills.
• Capability to remain clean-shaven to achieve a proper respirator fit.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and recordkeeping.

Physical and Workplace Conditions

• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs; climb and descend stairs; maintain footing on occasionally slippery floors.
• Work across a plant environment with varying temperatures and humidity while wearing required PPE.
• Normal operations can generate noise, dust, vapor, and fumes; engineering controls and safety equipment are provided to meet OSHA standards.
