Floater Phlebotomist

Job Description Pride Health is hiring a Floater Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Murrysville, PA . This is a 3+ month position with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization. Title: Phlebotomist II Location: Murrysville, PA 15668 Pay Rate: $18.00 - $22/hr on W2 Shift: Monday - Friday 5:00am - 6:30pm Duration: 3+ months Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Job Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process. Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms. Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity. Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal. Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers. Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings. Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes. Job Requirements Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment and work independently with minimal on‑site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Must demonstrate superior customer focus and the ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients. Qualifications Five years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience.
