Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work in an onsite hospital setting that prioritizes teamwork and communication among healthcare professionals. Each day, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver a comprehensive rehabilitation experience. You will be at the forefront of patient interaction, providing direct care and support in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced rehabilitation tools and therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Hands-On Care: Implement and support therapeutic interventions such as exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and modalities designed to enhance strength and flexibility.
• Help Patients Progress: Monitor patient performance, documenting their progress in rehabilitation plans, adjusting treatments as needed, and providing encouragement throughout the recovery journey.
• Patient Education: Educate patients on the goals and benefits of their treatment plans, enabling them to actively participate in their recovery process both in our hospital and at home.
• Collaborate with a Fantastic Team: Engage with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to design and coordinate individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's recovery goals.
• Document with Precision: Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care and adherence to best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, assisting patients who have undergone surgeries or suffered injuries. You will encounter a diverse client base, including athletes, elderly patients, and those recovering from traumatic incidents. Your compassionate demeanor and hands-on approach will help ease their recovery, emphasizing the importance of individualized care tailored to each patient's specific needs and circumstances.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid PTA license in the state of California or eligibility to obtain one.

• Attention to detail, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols and patient safety.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role is competitive, with a salary range of $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually, supplemented by benefits that foster personal and professional growth. Benefits include:
