Bankruptcy Attorney (On or Off-Track Position Available) Locations: Houston, TX Experience: 5+ years Our client, a highly regarded full-service law firm, is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join its practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced bankruptcy practitioner with deep Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 experience who thrives representing diverse stakeholders in complex matters. What You'll Work On: Handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters, including complex Chapter 11 cases Represent a wide range of stakeholders- secured and unsecured creditors, committees, Chapter 7 trustees, and debtors Advise on workouts, restructurings, and asset protection strategies for distressed clients across multiple industries Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, proofs of claim, and other bankruptcy-related filings Provide courtroom support and attend creditor meetings Communicate with Trustees, Bankruptcy Courts, local counsel, and debtors' attorneys What We're Looking For: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy experience Licensed to practice in Texas Strong background in document review for distressed clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgment, and high professionalism Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong academic and professional credentials (transcript and writing sample required with resume submission) Why This Role Stands Out: Flexibility to pursue an on-track or off-track position Multiple bonus opportunities: billings bonus based on collections, production bonus, and origination bonus Sophisticated, varied bankruptcy practice spanning creditor and debtor-side work across industries Benefits: Competitive compensation (set based on graduation year and experience) and comprehensive benefits package.
