About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: Ability to pass EKG testing before the start date. Must be open to floating to various units based on skills and needs. Description: This position involves providing nursing care in a float pool setting. The primary responsibilities include caring for patients in Med-Surg and Telemetry units. The nurse will float to multiple acute care inpatient departments as needed. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:7 on night shifts. Weekend coverage is required, with expectations to work every other weekend. Travelers must adhere to holiday request policies and will not be accommodated for time off during major holidays. The environment allows for interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals. Nurses will be expected to manage diverse patient diagnoses and conditions. Skills required include administering complex treatments and managing various medical procedures. The position supports continuous patient monitoring and care within assigned units. Floating will comply with established policies and clinical experience assessments. Modules and training for unit orientation will be provided but are non-billable.
