Senior Manager, Member & Provider Optimization

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Manager, Member & Provider Optimization to join our Member & Provider Optimization team. About the role You will support our teams in driving an outstanding, service-focused operation by designing, guiding and assessing the effectiveness of the use of operational frameworks and ideologies. You will report into the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization. Work Location This position is based in our Tempe, Arizona office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. Pay Transparency The base pay for this role is: $134,136 - 176,053 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses. Responsibilities Develop the critical skills necessary to support a best‑in‑class lean operation while influencing future decisions Anticipate, overcome, and prevent recurrence of complex problems and roadblocks Create routines that drive cross‑functional collaboration within and outside of department Establish a vision of clarity and ensure stability and scalability within the direct area of influence Demonstrate the proper approach with implementation of Continuous Improvement Tools both internal to our company and in consideration of industry standards and best practices Develop and implement core metric tracking and tool use present in a LEAN‑based operational environment Provide direction, mentorship, and influence regarding the necessity of process improvement work Develop and maintain appropriate bench strength and develop organizational talent through clear goals and healthy accountability Demonstrate substantial levels of resilience and adaptability in a place of ambiguity Requirements 6+ years of experience coaching, developing, managing and scaling large teams 5+ years experience using data and metrics to drive process and program improvements 4+ years experience working in a collaborative environment with a diverse set of people Experience leading and implementing large scale projects Bonus points Experience working with teams in multiple locations and within multiple disciplines Prior healthcare or health insurance‑related experience Experience with facilitating, presenting to, and training senior‑level leaders Experience leading change management Advanced Google Suite or Microsoft Office capabilities Bachelor's Degree 4+ years experience implementing operational excellence- LEAN, Six Sigma, or other improvement methods Equal Opportunity Employer At Oscar, being an Equal Opportunity Employer means more than upholding discrimination‑free hiring practices.
