Computer Technician II – 8.0 Hours/DayProvide technical assistance supporting district-wide technology relating to networks, hardware, and software via telephone and remote control of computers to ensure minimal down time and greatest student and staff productivity.Respond to inquiries relating to hardware and/or software for resolving problems in support of district sites and users.Maintain and develop, when necessary, technical documentation for providing instruction and reference.Maintain accurate asset documentation Moves adds and changes in inventory databaseInstall desktop applications and network access software for providing upgrades to maintain current district standards.Assist in maintaining and supporting district inventory, remote access, imaging, software licensing, help desk, etc., resources utilizing district software package – Microsoft System Center Suite (SCCM).Meet or exceed excellent end user support (Desktop to Enterprise Server)Develop and maintain I.T. automated processes, scripting, AD integration using LDAP or direct integration depending on application. E. AD to Google Applications for Education (GAFE) for student/staff account management.Maintain District network systems through periodic monitoring via applications, upgrades and migrations using relevant current technology tools.Install and maintain IP surveillance video systems and related technologies Currently Arecont / Exacqvision (IPSC)Support Staff with extensive knowledge of instructional tools, computers, peripherals and operating systems including, but not limited to the following: Support current classroom learning tools i.e. (Extron Polevault Systems, document cameras, printers, projectors, sound etc...) and the capacity to integrate future systems.Support various audio and video files ( including mp4, mp3, mov, & H.264) Use Google AdministrationMaintain building labs and image computer systems as neededUse remote desktop tools (SCCM, TightVNC etc.)Mobile Device Management (MDM); iOS Applications support and deployment.Support multimedia delivery of collaboration meetings Google Hangouts, Video Conferencing, Skype, Facetime etc...Run Facebook Live, video editing and audio/sound equipmentProcess work orders via helpdesk support systemWeekly meetings with Tech DepartmentServe as backup support for all level of technical positions.Other duties as assigned by IT DirectorHigh school graduate or GED.Minimum three years' experience in help desk or technical support capacity or equivalent education and work/field experience.Expertise and knowledge with LAN technologies supporting data, voice, and video.Working knowledge and hands-on experience with personal computers and internet/intranet protocols and standards utilizing the following operating systems: Windows, iOS, Chrome OS, Android OS etc.Experience using the following productivity software: Office, Star/AR, Compass, GAFE, various Curriculum SoftwareAbility to maintain accurate records.Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods.Ability to diagnose and solve problems, and exercise independent judgment.Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, complete tasks, and meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with persons with diverse technical knowledge and skills.
