Senior Tax Accountant

This leadership role is ideal for an experienced CPA who thrives in public accounting and is passionate about delivering exceptional client service while mentoring and developing high-performing teams. As a key leader within the firm, you'll oversee tax and accounting engagements, manage client relationships, provide technical guidance, and help drive strategic growth. What You'll Do Lead and manage the firm's tax and accounting services practice. Supervise, mentor, and develop managers, senior accountants, and staff. Review complex business, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns. Review financial statements, compilations, reviews, and accounting engagements. Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local tax regulations. Serve as the primary advisor for key client relationships, providing proactive tax planning and accounting solutions. Research and resolve complex tax and accounting issues. Utilize QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Thomson Reuters software to manage client engagements efficiently. Improve internal processes, workflows, and quality control procedures. Partner with firm leadership on business development and practice growth initiatives. Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Active CPA license. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 8+ years of progressive public accounting experience. Extensive experience managing tax and accounting engagements. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Proficiency with Thomson Reuters software, including UltraTax CS, Accounting CS, Practice CS, and Fixed Assets CS. Proven leadership, project management, and client relationship skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Preferred Experience Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously. Coaching, mentoring, and developing accounting professionals. Business development and client growth initiatives. Working with closely held businesses, manufacturing companies, construction companies, and high-net-worth individuals.
