Assistant General Counsel – Provide Strategic Legal Guidance Sunrise is seeking a strategic, business-minded Assistant General Counsel (Transactional) to support our Real Estate, Development, and Asset Management teams. What You'll Do: Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions and development projects Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, LOIs, financings, and management contracts Support joint ventures, asset acquisitions, and portfolio transactions Oversee title and survey diligence processes Advise senior leaders on corporate, contract, and compliance matters Partner with cross-functional teams to align legal strategy with business goals Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies You will play a key role in structuring and negotiating complex transactions that drive Sunrise's growth and portfolio performance. What We're Looking For: 6–7 years legal experience in corporate, real estate, or finance law Background in transactional and development work preferred Active bar license in good standing Strong negotiation, analytical, and drafting skills Sound legal and business judgment Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels Senior living or hospitality industry experience preferred Pay Range: 187,680.00 - 234,600.00 Ready to take the next step and make a bigger impact than you ever imagined?
