Off Premise Specialist

Position Summary This position supports the Off‑Premise & On‑Premise sales component of the distributor's market plan for its geographic area of responsibility throughout Northern Virginia and parts of Washington DC. The assigned area of responsibility will be aligned with one or more of Constellation Brands Beer Division’s (CBBD) top Off‑Premise accounts in a priority DMA. This role is responsible for driving Off‑Premise & some On‑Premise sales through effective business planning, retail execution, customer relationship management, and budget management. The individual will function as a high‑level advisor to select Key Account Managers, National Sales Managers, and Market Development Managers on all items related to off‑Premise sales and will report directly to the Senior Market Development Manager for Northern Virginia. Responsibilities Account Management – Sell new and expanded distribution to Off‑Premise and On‑Premise accounts; build and maintain strong relationships; support training and development initiatives for the wholesaler Off‑Premise team; prioritize existing accounts and deploy resources to achieve CBBD market goals; identify market‑specific business development opportunities. Execution Inspection – Visit and review accounts for compliance with CBBD's retail execution standards; identify and communicate execution issues; ensure follow‑up is made and issues are resolved. Sales Planning – Serve as a high‑level advisor to the area Key Account Manager and/or Market Development Manager in all Off‑Premise sales related planning; assist in developing the Off and On‑Premise component of the annual business plan; determine programming and promotional plans/spends; evaluate results vs. plan; conduct surveys; evaluate pricing programs; organize and coordinate promotional activity; develop new product/packaging rollout plans; proactively identify challenges related to new introductions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Sales or Marketing. Two years of professional experience in consumer‑packaged goods (CPG) or beverage industry preferred. Working knowledge of the promotional marketing process. Proven history in building strong relationships with customers and internal associates. Ability to gather and use customer feedback to identify needs and opportunities. Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Available to travel a minimum of 20% of the time (including up to 5 hours of driving). Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated initiative and diligent follow‑through. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong math skills for wholesaler margin, retailer cost, and market discount structures. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, sit; lift up to 55 lbs; use hands, reach, climb stairs; maintain vision and hearing; stand for extended periods; drive a car and travel by plane/train if needed; be at least 21 years old; must have a valid driver’s license. Location Fairfax, Virginia; other locations include Alexandria, Arlington, Washington, DC. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $72,700.00 – $106,700.00. The range reflects geographic markets. Additional benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other eligible benefits. Bonus, commission, and other compensation remain at the company’s discretion.
