Equipment Manager

Position Overview The Equipment Manager manages equipment operations tied directly to the CNY C6 project and works closely with operations leadership, field supervision, mechanics, subcontractors, vendors, and support departments to keep equipment, trucks, and support resources operating with ongoing construction activities throughout the Project. The role stays involved in equipment scheduling, maintenance coordination, breakdown response, fleet tracking, operational support, staffing needs, and field coordination tied to active work areas across the Project. The Equipment Manager is expected to maintain visibility on equipment availability, identify issues early, and keep communication moving between operations, field supervision, mechanics, vendors, subcontractors, and Project leadership as work progresses. Responsibilities Manage equipment operations tied directly to the CNY C6 project throughout all phases of work Work directly with operations leadership, field supervision, mechanics, subcontractors, vendors, and support departments assigned to the Project Coordinate equipment scheduling, fleet usage, maintenance activities, repair needs, and operational support tied to ongoing construction operations Participate in operational meetings, planning discussions, coordination meetings, and project updates tied to equipment-related work activities Review equipment concerns, maintenance issues, operational demands, breakdowns, and field support needs tied to active work areas Identify and address equipment shortages, maintenance concerns, breakdown issues, access restrictions, and operational conflicts before they begin affecting production or schedule Coordinate communication between operations, field supervision, mechanics, vendors, subcontractors, and Project leadership throughout the Project Track equipment usage, maintenance activities, repair status, support requests, and operational needs tied to assigned work activities Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Safety, Quality, Scheduling, Project Controls, and support departments tied to equipment-sensitive work activities Maintain accountability, communication flow, follow-through, and day-to-day coordination throughout equipment operations and ongoing construction activities Manage equipment support tied to active work fronts, roadway operations, structure work, and milestone-sensitive construction activities throughout the Project Keep equipment operations aligned with Project priorities, production goals, schedule milestones, and ongoing construction activities throughout all phases of the Project Qualifications Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction equipment, maintenance programs, and fleet management Ability to manage multiple priorities across several active construction operations Experience with preventative maintenance scheduling, equipment utilization, and repair tracking Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and equipment safety Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and equipment management software Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or equipment management role Experience managing large fleets supporting heavy highway, bridge, or design-build infrastructure projects preferred We offer competitive wages and great employee benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, life insurance and various supplemental coverages.
