Work Location
Office
This position is an in-office role located in West Bend, Madison or Appleton, WI. No remote opportunities for this position are available at this time.
Hybrid
This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of a West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events. The position can be based in West Bend, Madison or Appleton.
Remote
This is a fully remote/work from home role. On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events.
Hybrid or Remote
This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations. Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Summary of Responsibilities
Manage claims of moderate to high complexity with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager utilizing current Claim technology. Conduct thorough investigations in order to determine coverage, evaluate damages/benefits, and liability/compensability. Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys. Responsibilities also include proactive file management, adequate reserving, and participation in training activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service.
- Adhere to department audit guidelines.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine coverage, evaluate damages/benefits, and assess liability/compensability.
- Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
- Maintain proactive file management and adequate reserving.
- Participate in projects and initiatives as needed.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- 4-6 years of experience in claims handling
- Prior experience managing claims with moderate complexity
- Proficiency with computers and current technology
- Interpersonal skills

Preferred Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree in business, Insurance or related field
- Associate in General Insurance designation
- Associate in Claims designation
- Licensed in jurisdictions where required
