Truck Shop Equipment Diagnostics Mechanic Are you the go-to pro for diesel systems, hydraulics, and precision diagnostics?

What You’ll Tackle

• Own safety: follow safe work practices and make Health & Safety your top priority.
• Diagnose, repair, and reassemble heavy industrial and mobile equipment with confidence.
• Validate every repair by testing equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Leverage computer instrumentation to troubleshoot and complete work orders.
• Pitch in with additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passing Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test
• 3+ years’ plant experience in heavy industrial/mobile equipment maintenance and repair
• Hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair expertise
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose plant mechanical systems
• Caterpillar & Kubota engine experience/certifications/education (preferred)
• Cutting torch (propylene) experience for metal cutting/demolition
• Vehicle/mobile A/C service experience
• Air Conditioning Certification or equivalent experience
• Diesel Repair Certification or equivalent experience
• Capability to lift, bend, climb, handle tools; lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license

Union Details, Schedule, and Compensation

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Work schedule, hourly pay, and testing requirements are governed by the union contract.

Work Schedule (per CBA):
Shiftwork schedule (4-12HR day shifts, 4 days off/on-call, 4-12HR hour day shifts, 4 days off/off-call)

Hourly Wage (per CBA):
$37.82/HR; Additional earnings may include overtime opportunities and other benefits outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Before You Start (per CBA)

Pre-employment requirements include:

• Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test
• Diesel Repair Certification
• Air Conditioning Certification (EPA Section 609)
