Job Summary The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a tenure trackAssistant Professor to teach courses in analytical chemistry,physical chemistry and the first-year sequence in chemistry at theundergraduate level. This faculty position, based in the Departmentof Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics is a 10- month academic yearposition. Responsibilities Faculty - Teaching/Instructing Teaching Responsibilities

• Full-time instructional load teaching in areas of expertisewithin the academic discipline
• Regular course meetings and instruction
• Mentoring students
• Other teaching responsibilities

All Georgia College & State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching our core curriculum and providingfoundation courses for majors and non-majors alike. Faculty employees also contribute to the Georgia College &State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman(GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses. Faculty - Service toInstitution All faculty are expected to support the advancement of thedepartment, college and university mission by providing service tothe institution. Service may be at the department, college,university, community and/or disciplinary level. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements PhD degree in a closely related field. Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements as stated in C.S.3.7.1 ( (faculty credentials)). Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry. Required Experience Some teaching experience Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Instructor of record for college level classes in the relateddiscipline.
