Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for a Senior HVAC Project Manager in the San Jose area to run large HVAC and sheet metal projects from kickoff to closeout for a commercial mechanical contractor.
Impact
- Bring big projects in on time and on budget.
- Keep clients informed and confident from day one.
- Build a project team that runs without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close large HVAC and sheet metal projects.
- Lead engineers, subcontractors, and field teams with clear communication.
- Serve as the client's main point of contact through the whole project.
- Build and manage project budgets and adjust as work progresses.
- Walk the site regularly and fix quality issues early.
- Keep every project compliant with local, state, and federal safety rules.
Must-Haves
- Five or more years of mechanical project management in HVAC and sheet metal.
- A track record of finishing large projects well.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Based in the San Jose area or willing to relocate.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience on healthcare, tech, or institutional builds.
- Familiarity with Procore or similar project tools.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in the San Jose area.
