Mental Health Counselor - (Day/Evening/Weekend/Overnight)

Pat Rate: $21.50 or full-time weekends, $19.19 for all other shifts Location: Fully onsite RADIAS Healthis is seeking full-time and part-time Mental Health Counselors to join the Residential Support Services Program. You will work in a home‑like setting, supporting adults who have experienced significant barriers in living due to symptoms of mental illness and substance use disorders. In this role you will spend most of each shift interacting with clients, building rapport, and performing client‑directed tasks. You will be a key part of a client’s care team, helping to implement treatment. We have 14 locations within Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington counties. Hours Full‑time: Evenings (Mon - Fri, Sun - Wed, Wed - Sat, or Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 4:00 pm - 12:00 am) Full‑time: Weekends (Sat & Sun 9:00 am - 12:00 am) Full‑time: Days (Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm) Full‑time: Overnights (Sun - Wed: 11:45 pm - 8:30 am), (Wed - Sat: 11:45 pm - 8:30 am), (Thu - Sat: 10:30 pm - 8:30 am) Responsibilities Provide courteous and respectful care to all clients. Spend the majority of each shift interacting with clients, building relationships, and conducting tasks directly related to client care. Monitor clients regularly as stipulated in each client’s care plans. Responsible for knowledge and implementation of service and behavior plans. Remain current on client plans and case notes completed by other staff. Encourage and monitor treatment plan compliance. Utilize crisis assessment tools for suicidal and aggressive behavior. Identify individuals prone to having behavior emergencies and recommend additional programming appropriate for their needs. Help defuse and de‑escalate any potential behavior emergencies. Assist residents with room cleaning, personal hygiene, and laundry. Assist clients in independent living skills; hygiene checks, housekeeping, budgeting, etc. Administer medications according to RSS policy and procedures under the supervision of the facility’s nurse. Inform other staff and the Lead Clinical Mental Health Counselor when a client’s medication supply is running low. Order client medication, as needed. Update medication sheets when medication changes occur. Develop weekly menus and shopping lists, and perform grocery shopping for the facility, encouraging client participation. Plan and coordinate recreational/social activities. Schedule client appointments, as needed. Plan holiday activities and special events. Provide input in staff meetings and treatment planning. Prepare meals, serve, and clean up according to Health Department standards. Assist in training new staff. Provide staff coverage, ensure facility security, and general supervision of residents. Secure coverage for any missed shifts, planned or unplanned. Participate in routine cleaning duties. Perform light house maintenance or request maintenance assistance as needed. Transport clients in the community. Produce and distribute incident reports within eight hours of the relevant event, as needed.
