Location: Redding, CA

Start Date: 09-15-2026

End Date: 12-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to trauma, neuro, and critical care patients in a fast-paced 30-bed ICU
• Monitor and manage ICP, ventriculostomies, and complex neurological conditions with precision
• Titrate vasopressors and sedation to keep patients stable and comfortable
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond swiftly to changes - you'll take a dysrhythmia test day one
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of intensivists, RTs, and charge nurses who are always available
• Float to PCU, CICU, tele, or med-surg units when needed, bringing your ICU expertise wherever you go

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact license accepted!)
• 2-3 years of ICU experience in a fast-paced, larger facility - new travelers with excellent experience are welcome
• Must have experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies, OR post-TPA patient care
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred (required if staying over 6 months)
• NIHSS certification required
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required - if you're tough, adaptable, and love a challenge, this is for you!
• Pass a proctored dysrhythmia test on day one (PASS/FAIL)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ICU nursing, trauma care, and neuro-critical care
• Proficiency in ICP monitoring, ventriculostomy management, and vasopressor titration
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Comfort with Cerner EHR charting system
• Sedation management and post-TPA patient care
• Team player with excellent communication and adaptability
