Labcorp Technician Position

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Communicate effectively with client office staff
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Associate's degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of previous clinical lab work experience is required
• LA State CLS (LSBME) license is required
• ASCP or AMT certification is required
• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
• High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
