This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with our health team members and under the direction of registered nurses. As a licensed practical nurse, you will provide nursing care in accordance with the nursing process and our standards of care and practices. Document patient information and changes in patient condition Alert the RN of changes needing reassessment Administer medication to patients Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies Orient patients to treatment programs and monitor activity, encouraging participation Use facility-approved CPI techniques Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for: Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Experience: Minimum one (1) year as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in psychiatric nursing preferred, with six (6) months of experience in the specialized area of psychiatry also preferred but not required. Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Compensation ranges from $33.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on employment status, experience, qualifications, and skill level. Shift differentials are available for applicable shifts.
