Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Must have Washington State license at time of submission Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - One year of scrubbing experience - ENT experience (FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, thyroid, parathyroid) - Davinci Xi experience required (GYN, URO, General) Description: This role requires a Surgical Technician for the Operating Room. Travelers tend to extend their assignments as long as possible due to a supportive team environment. The average number of cases per day ranges from 50 to 65, with a capability of managing 22 to 26 suites across three different floors. Common cases include GYN, URO, vascular, plastic, orthopedic (total hips/knees), neuro, cardiovascular, thoracic, general, sports medicine, kidney transplants, and ENT procedures. The position does not allow for self-scheduling, though start times will remain consistent for the same week. Weeknight call entails one call per 4-week schedule, while weekend call is a 24-hour rotation. The call response time is 30 minutes, with a call room available. Scrubs will be provided, and the dress code is teal. Physicians and team members are eager to assist and provide learning opportunities. There are no holiday call requirements. Weekend call is shared between staff and travelers.
