Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Schedule: M-F, 0800-1630

Assignment Details:

• Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
• Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular specialties.
• Breast certification preferred.
• Certification in Adult Echo Cardiography preferred.
• Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.
• Oversee daily operations of the sonography room, including patient scheduling and equipment maintenance.
• Report equipment failures and participate in quality assessment processes.
• Maintain a high standard of medical ethics and actively pursue knowledge of advancements in the field and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient care excellence.
