Business Deposit Specialist

Job Details Job Location: Rancho - Las Vegas, NV 89107 Salary Range: $27.60 - $30.67 Hourly Position Summary The position of Business Deposit Specialist is responsible for performing duties and support related to commercial operational activities and financial services, including processing new account applications, supporting branch personnel, and providing deposit knowledge and financial services. The role also handles cash management products, cross‑selling the Credit Union’s products and services, opening, maintaining, and closing all account types, performing miscellaneous clerical duties, promoting business for the Credit Union by maintaining excellent member relations, and referring members to appropriate staff for services. Responsibilities Provide excellent member service, engage members in conversations, and build relationships with them. Accurately take business new account applications by phone, video, or online, ensuring that all CCU and compliance policies, guidelines, and regulations are followed. Actively manage the new account pipeline, ensuring that Member account requests are addressed and opened in a timely manner. Ensure all cross‑sell opportunities are presented by applying professional sales techniques with commercial members. Interview members to obtain information; establish proper documentation and identification for proper account setup. Discuss, prepare, and process documents related to the Credit Union’s internet banking services, ACH, ScanCheck and Online Wire Services. Discuss and submit merchant services referrals for inquiring members. Provide ongoing management of members’ needs, including making recommendations related to their account transactions and activities. Assist members with transactions, account discrepancies, authentication, and research as needed. Achieve goals set by Management consistently and continually. Establish, maintain, and manage an effective advisory and service environment through the member engagement model. Proactively communicate with members to demonstrate alternative methods of product and service delivery to increase usage. Apply financial acumen, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills to meet team members’ and members’ needs. Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of credit union products and services. Coordinate system training and implementation with members as needed. Provide support for members relating to cash management and other deposit‑related services. Assist with ACH, online wire, and check scanning requests as needed. Produce quality work efficiently and free from errors. Communicate critical issues to management as they relate to member system issues. Follow guidelines and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, CIP, Reg CC, B, D, E, and Z intended to limit risk and exposure for the organization and its members. Ensure verification methods are followed for all transactions. Ensure compliance with all banking laws and regulations, requiring the same from all staff through continuous compliance training. Ensure documentation and/or reporting of all applicable transactions is within accepted quality standards of completeness and accuracy. Limit bank losses and overall exposure. Present a professional image and interact well with the public and all levels of Credit Union personnel. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent.
