Maintenance Technician (2nd & 3rd Shift)Location: McHenry, IL (833 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry, IL 60050)Inova Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for one of our valued customers. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to work across multiple maintenance disciplines.Pay & Schedule2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM, $25.32/hr.3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM, $26.32/hr.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, repairs, and installations on production equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsDismantle equipment, identify defective parts, and complete repairs or replacementsOperate shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, and welding toolsMaintain and improve equipment reliability through preventive maintenance practicesOperate forklifts and hydraulic lifts as neededResearch and source parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance tasksMaintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentationAssist with inventory tracking of maintenance partsFollow all safety, health, and environmental policiesMaintain a clean and organized work areaSupport continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation: Willing to train; no formal education requiredExperience Preferred (5+ years in): Manufacturing maintenance, electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting and repair, mechanical systems, industrial operations, process improvement and problem-solvingSkills & CompetenciesStrong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterityAbility to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment issuesTime management and organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with strong attention to detailBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAPStrong reading comprehension and problem-solving skillsPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting (up to 55 lbs; moving heavier items with equipment)Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environmentExposure to heat, humidity, moving machinery, and airborne particlesOccasional exposure to heights, outdoor conditions, and hazardous materialsRequired use of PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, gloves, and other equipment as needed.
