Radiology Tech I

Overview We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will conduct diagnostic X‑ray procedures, operating X‑ray equipment to capture images of patients’ internal structures for diagnostic purposes. This role assists healthcare providers by producing high‑quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and planning treatments. The position is per diem (PD/PRN as needed). Shift and Employment Shift available: Variable Employment type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location: Mission Regional Medical Center – Mission, TX Benefits Competitive compensation Medical insurance benefit plan 401K Sick leave accrual Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols. Ensure that X‑ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed. Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X‑ray examinations. Maintain accurate records of X‑ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history. Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification. Operate radiographic equipment to produce high‑quality images. Maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accreditation with the American Heart Association and register status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Qualifications Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. ARRT-R is required. Familiarity with State and Federal regulations. Current BCLS (AHA).
