The opportunity to work with a diverse patient population. Working with a multi‑disciplinary team. Here’s What You Need Graduate of an AMA‑approved Respiratory Care Program required. Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required. 1 year of Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred. RCP – Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required. RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required. ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ICU and Emergency Department only) required within 90 days. NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required if working in the NICU, within 90 days. Good verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and computer experience. What You Will Do Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family. Evaluate each patient using age‑ and diagnosis‑appropriate assessment tests and measurements. Apply appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care. Demonstrate competence in the performance of age‑appropriate patient assessment and individualize care based on age‑specific needs. Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to the patient's age and desire for treatment. Perform treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
