DevOps Engineer

We're hiring a DevOps Engineer to support secure cloud and deployment environments for national security systems. In this role, you'll build and manage CI/CD pipelines, deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm, and automate infrastructure with tools like Ansible and Terraform. Onsite required.

Description

Security Clearance: TS/SCI required (must be active in DISS).

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of containerization experience with Kubernetes deployments.
• 2+ years managing Helm deployments via ArgoCD or Flux, including writing custom Helm charts.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience supporting custom applications in production environments.
• Strong understanding of container networking, monitoring, and storage.
• Knowledge of container security and vulnerability mitigation.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Must hold or obtain within 6 months a DoD 8570-compliant certification such as Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes environments and containerized applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and security issues across environments.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure efficient DevSecOps practices.
• Monitor and support production systems and pipelines.

Skills and Proficiencies:

• Proficient in container orchestration (Kubernetes), Helm, ArgoCD/Flux.
• Familiar with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Groovy, Ruby).
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), FluentD.
• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Understanding of system integration protocols (JSON, REST, XML).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware), Docker, and Linux/UNIX administration.

Additional Information:

• Kubernetes certification is a plus.
• Location: 100% onsite in Ft. Belvoir, VA. Candidates should be willing to work onsite.
