The Front Desk Medical Receptionist will serve as the welcoming face and primary point of contact for patients in a specialty medical practice. This role involves coordinating patient flow, managing appointment schedules using proprietary software, and maintaining accurate patient records. The receptionist will ensure a smooth and professional experience for every patient while supporting the clinical staff through efficient communication and organization.

 

Responsibilities

• Check patients in promptly and accurately
• Schedule and confirm appointments using proprietary software
• Handle telephone communications professionally
• Maintain and update patient records
• Prepare charts for for office each day
• Verify patient insurance information and referrals , if needed
• Manage the waiting area to enhance patient comfort
• Handling medical record requests, filing and other general office duties

• Previous medical office or healthcare experience
• Knowledge of health insurance, benefits, and insurance processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
