Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Spokane, Washington. This role involves providing specialized care for high-risk obstetric patients in a busy labor and delivery department. The RN will float between units as needed and will work a night shift schedule with potential weekend shifts, supporting a high-volume facility with a focus on complex obstetric cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission). Two years of experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar role. Experience with high-risk labor and delivery, antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, maternal emergencies, and the use of intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC). Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and American Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate credential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), labor and delivery teaching hospital experience, charting system experience preferred.
• Additional Information: Responsible for caring for neonates, adolescents, and adults in a Level I Trauma facility, caring for approximately 200-300 births per month. Performs special procedures such as insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, and maternal emergency interventions. Will be expected to float between units including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and maternal units, as needed. Candidates must have prior experience with high-risk obstetrics and be able to manage complex obstetric cases efficiently.
