Inpatient Postpartum RnScheduleWeekends required.Assignment DetailsFloating to similar-acuity units may be required.RequirementsMinimum 2 years postpartum nursing experience.Labor & Delivery experience and IV start skills required.EPIC charting experience required.Telemetry interpretation required; must pass an EKG exam prior to start.Valid compact or state RN license.Certifications: BLS and IV certification.ResponsibilitiesProvide postpartum care for both vaginal and cesarean delivery patients.Assess and manage the care of healthy newborns, including thermoregulation and metabolic screening.Administer IV medications and manage intravenous therapy.Support breastfeeding and provide patient education.Manage complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and preeclampsia.Provide phototherapy and support for newborns with NAS.Compliance / NotesTwo professional references required; one must be a manager or supervisor. Ohio fingerprinting must be completed promptly after contract signing. RTO required with submission.
