Senior Medical Director, Immunology Clinical Development - Rheumatology

AbbVie seeks a Senior Medical Director to oversee clinical development programs in immunology and rheumatology. The role involves managing trial design, execution, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to advance product development strategy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, and execution of one or more clinical development programs
• Manage study integrity, safety and efficacy data review, interpretation, and communication
• Design and analyze protocols, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, and regulatory submissions
• Serve as clinical interface with opinion leaders and cross-functional internal stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practices, pharmacovigilance standards, and quality requirements

Requirements

• M.D., D.O., or international equivalent with relevant therapeutic specialty
• Minimum 2 years clinical trial experience in pharmaceutical, academic, or equivalent setting
• Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements
• Ability to manage moderate-complexity clinical research programs independently
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
• Experience developing clinical strategy and designing study protocols
