Job Summary:

Unit: Physical Therapist

Patient Care Setting:
• Primarily outpatient physical therapy, with occasional inpatient coverage for acute care and swing bed (rehab) settings.
• Outpatient experience is preferred.


Shift and Schedule:
• Day shift, Monday through Friday.
• 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (per New York State labor law).
• Occasionally scheduled Saturday coverage.


Patient Population and Case Types:
General Outpatient:
• Pre- or post-operative orthopedic conditions (e.g., joint replacements, rotator cuff injuries, acute orthopedic injuries).
• Chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, chronic pain, balance issues).
• Neurological conditions (e.g., CVA, TBI, Parkinson's Disease).
• Sports-related injuries.


Inpatient (occasional):
• Acute care and swing bed rehabilitation cases. Specializations:


No specific specialty required.

Case Volume:
• 15 patient slots per 8-hour day (30 minutes each).
• 1-hour slots allotted for new patient evaluations.


Technology and Treatment Modalities:
EMR System:
• Epic (workstations on wheels available for point-of-service documentation).


Treatment Modalities:
• Ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Saunder's mechanical traction, paraffin therapy.
• Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, and upper body ergometers (UBE).


Interview Process:
• Preferred: Zoom interviews.
• Alternate: Phone interviews available.
• Every effort will be made to expedite the process


Certifications Required:
• Active New York State Physical Therapy License.
• Current BLS certification.


Preferred Experience:
• Outpatient physical therapy experience.
