Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with 2+ years of experience and CRT certification for a hospital oncology department using TrueBeam equipment on day shift.

Details

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department
• Treats cancer patients currently undergoing radiation therapy
• Performs radiation therapy and simulation procedures
• Uses TrueBeam radiation therapy equipment
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• ARRT and CRT certifications required
• CA state license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Experience maintaining and operating complex radiation therapy equipment
• Ability to document readings and identify equipment adjustments or repairs needed

Additional Information

• Performs routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician treatment plans
• Educates patients on procedures to alleviate fear and anxiety
• Mentors students and new therapists in a constructive teaching environment
• Performs clerical duties including EHR documentation, scheduling, and consent forms
• Maintains inventory and orders supplies to established stock levels
• Implements ALARA safety standards to minimize radiation exposure
• Performs equipment inspection, calibration, and quality control checks
• Maintains a clean, safe, and disinfected working environment
• Holiday coverage required with only one holiday off per contract
• Accepts local candidates at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
