TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26505!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: State RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, ONS Chemotherapy/Bio Certification (preferred) Must-Have: IV start skills Description: Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology RN. Experience in Oncology is preferred but not required. Shifts are 3x12 or 4x12 hours, including weekdays and every other weekend. Contract length is 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Preferred certification includes ONS chemotherapy/bio certification. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. Skills required include the ability to start IVs. No travel experience is required. Scrubs are not provided; candidates must wear burgundy and/or white scrubs. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Weekly attendance is crucial; only 2-3 call-offs are tolerable per contract. Candidates should have experience in accessing and managing ports, as well as in administering chemotherapy. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. Daily census on the unit is approximately 10 patients. The unit consists of a 12-bed capacity. Chemotherapy administration is a significant aspect of the care provided.
