Project Engineer-ITS/Electrical

Project Engineer-ITS/ElectricalWhatYou'llDoAstheProjectEngineersupportingourITSandelectricalwork,youwillhelpmanagethetechnicalandday-to-daycoordinationofthesescopesonheavycivil/highwayprojects.Youwill:TakeownershipofassignedITSandelectricalscopesfromplanningthroughconstructionandcloseout.Coordinateworkinvolvingtrafficsignals,roadwaylighting,ITSsystems,communications,VMS,conduit,electricalsystems,tollingandvehicledetection/loops.Workcloselywithprojectmanagers,superintendents,foremen,subcontractorsandsupplierstokeepworkmoving.CoordinatewithCDOT,designers,inspectors,utilitycompaniesandotherprojectstakeholders.Managesubmittals,RFIs,documentation,materialapprovalsandotherprojectrequirements.Reviewplans,specificationsandprojectdocumentsandhelpidentifypotentialconflictsbeforetheyimpactthefield.Trackprogress,quantities,schedulesandchangesassociatedwithyourscope.Helptroubleshootfieldanddesignissuesandworkwiththeappropriateteamstofindpracticalsolutions.Makesureworkiscompletedinaccordancewithprojectplans,specificationsandCDOTrequirements.WhatWe'reLookingForPreviousheavycivil,highwayortransportationconstructionexperience.PreviousexperienceworkingonCDOTprojectsandasolidunderstandingofCDOTspecifications,processesandsubmittalrequirements.StrongexperiencewithITSand/orelectricalconstruction.Experiencewithsomecombinationoftrafficsignals,lighting,ITSdevices,communications/fiber,VMS,conduit,tolling,loops/detectionsystemsorsimilartransportationelectricalsystems.Experiencecoordinatingsubcontractorsandworkingdirectlywithfieldoperations.Abilitytoreadandunderstandconstructionplansandspecifications.Strongorganizationanddocumentationskills.Someonewhocanworkindependently,takeownershipandfollowanissueallthewaythroughresolution.Strongcommunicationskillsandtheabilitytoworkeffectivelywitheveryonefromcraftandfieldleadershiptoengineers,inspectors,subcontractorsandtheowner.PreviousProjectEngineerexperiencewiththeabilitytooperatebeyondtheentrylevel.Weareanequalopportunityemployer:Wedonotdiscriminatebasedonrace,color,nationalorigin,religion,creed,sex,sexualorientation,genderidentity,disability,age,geneticinformation,maritalstatus,militarystatus,membershiporactivityinalocalhumanrightscommission,orstatuswithregardtopublicassistance,oranyothercharacteristicprotectedbyapplicablelaw.#LI-DJ1
