Energy Terminal Operator (12453)

How you will impact Southern States Cooperative:

• Qualify with the U.S. Coast Guard as "Person in Charge" of receiving petroleum products by barge into terminal storage.
• Supervise barge unloading into storage tanks.
• Observe safety procedures in terminal operations and advise supervisor when abuse occurs or when up-grades need to be made in safety procedures.
• Obtain 40 hour HAZMAT technician level training after one year experience on the job.
• Perform maintenance and repairs for daily terminal operations.
• Assist with driver training for loading rack procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping throughout the entire terminal operation.
• Take actual inventories on a daily and end of month basis.
• Understand and perform explicit instructions from supervisors

• High School diploma
• Valid Driver's License - Satisfactory Driving Record (MVR)
• Mechanically inclined
• Able to understand and follow directions correctly
