Gastroenterology Physician - Locum Opportunity

Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist providing both inpatient and outpatient care. This opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment where you'll work alongside other Gastroenterologists while providing rounding, admissions, consultations, and procedures. The assignment is available for an ASAP start , with two openings available.

About the Facility

• Outpatient clinic with hospital privileges
• Combined inpatient and outpatient practice
• 253-bed healthcare facility
• Average of approximately 4 patients per day in the morning while on call (Monday-Friday)
• Provider will work with an established team of Gastroenterologists
• Opening created to address physician coverage gaps
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system

• 4 hours of gratis time are included with each on-call assignment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology coverage
• Perform patient rounding, admissions, consultations, and procedures
• Participate in scheduled clinic and hospital coverage
• Share call responsibilities, including 24-hour call coverage
• Collaborate with other Gastroenterologists and clinical staff
• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Washington medical license or willingness to obtain one before the start date
• Minimum of 1 year of Gastroenterology experience
• Experience using Epic EMR
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Must meet all Medical Staff Office credentialing requirements

Working Hours

• ASAP start
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift schedule with no weekends except when on call
• Approximately 14 hospital call shifts per month
• 24-hour call with clinic assistance available during the morning
• 8 hours of billable orientation
• Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
