Lead Physical Therapist – Part-Time to Full-Time Growth Opportunity

Outpatient Physical Therapy Practice | Brooklyn, NY

A new outpatient physical therapy practice in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Physical Therapist to help launch, build, and grow the clinic together with the Practice Director, who is a P.T.

This is a part-time opportunity to start, but the practice already has patients ready to begin treatment and needs coverage several days per week. As patient volume grows, the role can expand into additional hours, increased leadership responsibility, and a full-time position for the right candidate who wants that path.

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who wants more than a standard treating role. The ideal candidate will enjoy providing excellent patient care while also helping shape the clinical workflows, culture, systems, and future growth of a new practice.

Primary Responsibilities

· Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

· Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services

· Help establish clinical workflows, documentation standards, treatment protocols, and patient care processes

· Support day-to-day clinical operations, scheduling coordination, and patient engagement

· Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring future PTs, PTAs, aides, and administrative support staff

· Communicate effectively with referring physicians, patients, families, and team members

· Contribute to a positive, organized, professional, and welcoming clinic environment

· Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, documentation, and billing-related requirements

· Participate in the growth and development of the practice over time

Qualifications

· Active New York State Physical Therapist license

· Outpatient physical therapy experience required

· Leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate

· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

· Comfortable working in a new practice environment and helping develop systems and processes

· Dependable, professional, patient-focused, and committed to clinical excellence

· Interest in growing professionally as the practice grows

Schedule

Part-time to start, with flexible days and hours based on therapist availability and clinic needs. The position has strong potential to grow into a full-time role as patient volume increases.
